Sporting jeans and toting power drills, Sen. Steve Bieda, Rep. Jon Switalski and Rep. Ken Goike joined other local legislators Thursday, July 28, in Eastpointe to assist on a build with Macomb County Habitat for Humanity.

“All of the elected officials on hand were very excited to trade in their computers for tool belts!” said Macomb Habitat’s marketing and PR manager Nicole White.
Macomb County Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, ecumenical Christian-based, housing ministry that provides low-income, working families the opportunity to purchase safe, decent, affordable housing in which to raise their families. They have provided 82 adults and 158 children with a home since inception in 1992.
