With Legislators Building Communities now officially launched, it’s time for this site to get a makeover. We will be moving things around to make it easier to read about the exciting projects happening this summer.

All important information will be preserved. To make things even easier, we’ll keep current links for some popular information below:

Statewide Initiative Enlists Legislators to Boost Support for Affordable Housing and Community Development Projects

The LBC Steering Committee is excited to officially kick off Legislators Building Communities this week with a series of events:

• Orientation sessions for legislative staff to answer questions and share project recommendations
• Press Conference: Join us at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday 4/26 at the Capitol Rotunda for a press conference kickoff featuring our legislative advisors, the Living in Michigan Coalition chairs and MSHDA executive director Gary Heidel
• Resolution: A resolution will be introduced in the House and Senate honoring LBC
• Caucus announcements: Our legislative advisors will talk to their colleagues about LBC in caucus meetings
• Hard hats: Commemorative hard hats with sponsor logos will be delivered to each legislative office
• Facebook launch: We have launched a Legislators Building Communities Facebook page to make it easier to share LBC news and stories with your contacts
• Blog launch: Starting this week, we will be regularly sharing announcements and stories on this blog; you can subscribe via email using the link in the right sidebar
